由上外跨文化研究中心顾力行教授、张红玲教授及迟若冰副研究员共同打造的《跨文化交际》国际慕课于2015年11月正式上线，这是英国FutureLearn平台上国内第一、亚洲第三门慕课，吸引了来自约200多个国家和地区、近7万名学员注册学习。该课程以新颖的角度、丰富的内容，介绍了跨文化理论知识与实践应用，并通过交流互动的方式帮助学习者掌握跨文化交际原则，提高跨文化交际能力。该课程入选国家首批精品课程、国家一流课程名录，并荣获上海市教学成果一等奖。
课程采取非西方文化视角，聚焦国际背景下的身份认同和跨文化交际能力培养。课程角度新颖，内容丰富，引导学习者讲述自己的文化故事，与来自世界各国的学习者进行跨文化对话，帮助学习者觉察自己的交际风格和文化价值观。在主讲教师和助教团队的帮助下，来自不同文化背景的学习者可以畅所欲言，分享交流文化学习感受，提升跨文化理解和沟通能力。

The international MOOC course “Intercultural Communication” created by the Intercultural Institute of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) was officially launched in November 2015, attracting nearly 72,000 learners from about 200 countries and regions to register for the course. The course introduces intercultural theoretical knowledge and practical application with cutting-edge concepts and rich content, and helps learners master intercultural communication principles and improve intercultural communication skills through experiential learning and activity teaching methods. The course was selected as one of the first batch of national boutique online open courses and national first-class courses, and the teaching reform research project based on the course won the first prize of Shanghai Teaching Achievements.
The course is based on the perspective of local culture and integrates international cutting-edge theories, focusing on the construction of cultural identity and the improvement of communicative competence in the context of globalization. The course guides learners to analyze cultural differences in depth by organizing them to share their own cultural stories and building an open and equal space for dialogue. Relying on online interaction, the teaching team helps learners systematically sort out their own cultural values and communication patterns, master practical skills such as intercultural adaptation and conflict mediation, and ultimately realize the leap from cultural cognition to practical application, helping learners to become intercultural communicators with curiosity and reflective power towards different cultures.
